No beating about as Bush wins

Bush had almost two minutes to spare from Masterton in the open men's event at the annual Belvedere relay events staged by Athletics Carterton on Saturday.
John Mudgway, Andrew Davenport and Ian Carter made up the Bush side and they finished the 21km in a combined time of 1hrs 10mins 30secs, heading off the Masterton combination of Mark Eagle, Michael Macklin and Tony Price, which clocked 1.12.27.
Not surprisingly it was the powerful Scottish Harriers team from Wellington which won the masters women's 40 yrs grade, headed as they were by ex-international Ann Hare.Her lap time was more than 3mins faster than any other women and ensured they ran out easy winners.
