No bail over nose biting

A Rotorua man accused of biting off a man's nose in a fight was denied bail.

Tai Paul O'Quinn, 40, appeared in the Rotorua District Court yesterday on a charge of disfiguring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He did not plead.

The charge followed a fight at his Wrigley Rd home on January 1. The injured man had plastic surgery to reattach his nose. O'Quinn is back in court on Wednesday.
