A man accused of attacking his nine-month-old daughter did not seek bail when he appeared in Hastings District Court yesterday.
The infant was admitted to hospital with head injuries following a domestic dispute in suburban Flaxmere on June 25 and has since been discharged from hospital.
The 29-year-old accused surrendered himself to Hastings police station and faces a charge of wounding the baby girl with intent to injure her.
Judge Geoff Rea granted a request from lawyer Matthew Phelps for name suppression, to be reviewed at the man's next appearance on July 19, Hawke's Bay Today reported
