Night works will be carried out on State Highway 11 through to Pahia this weekend as part of the final stages of a six-week-long upgrade of the Far North township's waterfront.
The New Zealand Transport Agency said the surfacing of Marsden Rd in the Pahia township was scheduled to take place on Sunday.
If the weather did not permit, the work would be carried out on Monday.
The agency's Northland journey manager, Jacqui Hori-Hoult, said a suitable weather window was needed to complete the surfacing.
"We have worked closely with local businesses to minimise the impact of our works. Please bear with us through this final sealing stage.
