A 19-year-old hunter with a lacerated forearm was rescued by a helicopter using night vision goggles last night.
The Youthtown Rescue helicopter was scrambled at around 8pm after an emergency beacon was activated in the Kaiangaroa National Park.
The helicopter, using night vision goggles, found the young hunter with a laceration on his lower arm.
A St John Paramedic treated the man at the scene before flying him to Taupo Hospital for further treatment.
