More than 400 houses are planned for one of the last undeveloped sites at Hobsonville Point, north of Auckland.
Ngai Tahu Property has announced it has entered into a development agreement for a 2ha site 20 minutes north of central Auckland, doubling the size of the planned development known as Kerepeti.
It will now deliver 417 homes over a combined 4ha area. The dwellings will be a mix of apartments and terraced homes.
Ngai Tahu Property said the homes will be delivered in four stages, with the first consisting of 27 terraced homes with a mix of "two-and-a-half and three-bedroom dwellings and nine walk-ups with a blend of one-and-a-half and two-bedroom dwellings".
They said 30 per cent of the properties will be priced in keeping with the Hobsonville Point affordable homes Axis programme.
