Ngai Tahu man recovering

Ngai Tahu genealogist Terry Ryan is recovering from a stress-related stroke, his lawyer said yesterday.

Mr Ryan, embroiled in a bitter dispute with his employers after allegations were made about his ancestry, fell ill suddenly on Sunday.

His lawyer, Karina Tifaga, visited Mr Ryan in hospital last night and said he was slowly recovering.
