Meanwhile Mediaworks publicity manager Rachel Lorimer said a fourth cycle of the top rating show would definitely go ahead.
"We certainly intend to make another season of Top Model," said Lorimer.
She said it was a matter of slotting it into the network's busy reality production schedule.
"That part of it is not clear."
Mediaworks was initially concentrating on producing the local version of the reality vocal show X-Factor and a second series of top-rating home renovation series The Block during the first half of next year.
Both shows involved the same executive producers from NZ's Next Top Model.
However interest was still widespread among prospective contestants and viewers alike with comments regularly left on the NZNTM Facebook page, Lorimer said.
