A New Zealand tourist was bashed and stabbed by up to 12 men in a Sydney hotel last night.
Police said the 40-year-old man was in the foyer of a bar at a Pitt St hotel at 7pm (9pm NZT) when he was attacked.
He was assaulted and stabbed with a broken glass, police said.
The man was taken to St Vincent's Hospital suffering a deep laceration to his neck and chest.
The attackers have been described as being of Asian and Pacific islander appearance.
