New Windsor car crash brings down power pole

It happened on the corner of New Windsor Rd and Whitney St in New Windsor at 3.20am.

An intersection in West Auckland is closed after a car hit a power pole.

It happened on the corner of New Windsor Rd and Whitney St in New Windsor at 3.20am.

A police spokeswoman said the power pole is across the road and a crane will have to be brought in to remove it.

The intersection is expected to be closed until midday.

Diversions are in place.

The driver of the car walked away without any injuries.
