KEY POINTS:
A Tauranga District Court Judge yesterday endorsed a fresh warrant for the extradition of 60-year-old semi-retired Tauranga company director Bryan Archer who allegedly took part in a conspiracy to defraud the Bank of England of $75 billion.
Judge Thomas Ingram said there were reasonable grounds to believe that the offences Archer was charged with were extraditable. Crown solicitor Greg Hollister-Jones had produced the new warrant, an amended charge and two extra charges.
The latest paperwork supersedes the original bid to have Archer removed to the UK for trial. An extradition hearing is set for February 11.
