A new trial will be set for a 19-year-old accused of raping a woman prisoner after an Auckland District Court jury could not agree on a verdict last night.
The man, who has name suppression, was remanded on bail for a callover hearing to set a date for a new trial.
The man is alleged to have sexually violated and raped the 40-year-old woman at Auckland Central Police Station on October 5, 2004.
