The Kapiti councillor accused of indecently assaulting a female staff member will go to trial in May.
David Scott, 71, is accused of approaching a council manager from behind while she was speaking to the mayor and pressing his body against her on April 13.
He earlier elected a judge-alone trial but later opted for a jury trial instead.
Scott was due to go to trial late last year, but another trial running overtime meant the date had to be pushed out.
He will now stand trial on May 21.
