All four of their high profile off season signings will be there when Wairarapa United officially gets their 2006 soccer season under way at Howard Booth Park in Carterton this Thursday night.
Petro Dauniseka from Fiji and Stanley Waeta from the Solomon Islands will be joined by Cook Islands goalkeeper Tony Jamieson, who lives in Wellington, and James Oxtoby, an Englishman who resides in Palmerston North.
Wairarapa United coach Phil Keinzley says 31 players have already indicated they will attend the first training session and they will be contesting places in the A squad, which will contest the Capital premier league.

Keinzley is not only excited by the good number of players already keen to play foir Wairarapa in 2006 but by the quality of player as well.
"Honestly, there is no reason why we should not be able to field two very competitive teams," he said.
"We have good depth now and just sorting out who makes which team is going to be a headache."
Keinzley is also delighted at the improved lightning which will be available at Wairarapa United's Carterton base for training purposes and by the acquisition of Anderson Meats as their major sponsors.
"Right now everything is in place for a top season??..we can't have hoped for a better start and it's up to us to keep it going," he said.
