KEY POINTS:
Police are to renew the search for a West Auckland woman in Titirangi bush.
Belinda Michelle Wilson, 39, from Titirangi, was last seen near her Mahoe St home on January 2, and has not touched her bank accounts since.
Her mother reported her missing on January 4.
Ms Wilson has a history of minor mental health issues and police say they are increasingly concerned for her safety.
Detective Sergeant Sean Hyland-Mills said a search and rescue team would cover a wider area of the Titirangi bush on Sunday.
More than 30 police and volunteers have already searched the bush behind her house.
Mr Hyland-Mills said the new search would cover a wider area of the dense bush to try to make sure Ms Wilson was not there.
The search, which would involve about 30 police, was not prompted by any new information, he said.
Two possible sightings of the woman in nearby New Lynn had not been confirmed, he said. Ms Wilson's family were distraught and wanted to know where their daughter and sister was, he said.
Ms Wilson was described as 1.77m tall, of medium to solid build, with a pale complexion but with heavy makeup. She has shoulder-length brown hair.
It was not known what clothing she was wearing but Ms Wilson was recently seen wearing a long black dress with a half-metre rip in the back.
She regularly wears a wide-rimmed sun visor and always has a black trundler carry bag on wheels with her.
