Aqua Meridian Energy has issued a raft of new documents about the controversial $1.2 billion Project Aqua.
The hefty box full of reports has been provided to local authorities that asked for extra information after Meridian lodged resource consent applications for its Waitaki River hydro-electric scheme in May.
The scheme involves diverting much of the river flow into a 60km canal supplying six power stations.
The documents include an updated schedule of the applications and plans, two volumes on safe canals and water-retaining structures, a report on landscape issues, changes to three of the proposed quarrying areas and haul roads, engineering drawings, plan drawings, and responses to questions from the Waitaki and Waimate district councils, the Otago Regional Council, and Environment Canterbury.
