The 911 Turbo and all-new Porsche Cayman have been spied winter testing in Sweden. The quad tailpipes, aggressive bodykit and massive alloys mark out the new 911 Turbo, due next year.
There's also wider bodywork with speed-activated rear wing, massive cross-drilled brakes and rear-quarter air intakes designed to feed air to the rear-mounted engine. It will use the larger 3.8-litre flat-six, which makes 295kW in the Carrera 2S/4S, with power increased to around 390kW with the addition of two turbochargers. It will be offered with either a seven-speed manual or PDK gearbox, and it will be capable of 0-100km/h in around three seconds.
It should be more stable, too, thanks to the 100mm longer wheelbase. Expect more efficiency than its predecessor, thanks to extensive use of aluminium in the shell which should shed around 40kg from the outgoing 911 Turbo's 1603kg kerbweight.
The all-new Cayman benefits from the new 911's technology and is a development of the all-new Boxster. The Cayman gets a 60mm longer wheelbase. It will be powered by the same 194kW 2.7-litre and 232kW 3.4-litre flat-sixes as the Boxster.
