Masterton Safe and Healthy Community Council has a new name - Connecting Communities Wairarapa.
Members say this better reflects the work they carry out, which has a strong community development focus across Wairarapa.
"The new name will help eliminate some confusion about where the organisation works and what it does," said chairman Peter McNeur.
"With the focus very much on the role of connecting the communities that make up our community, this name better reflects the actual work we do."
Connecting Communities Wairarapa will continue to offer the same services as MSHCC, including community development for the Masterton District Council, Strengthening Families, Neighbourhood Support, Junior Neighbourhood Support, Youth Development including Wairarapa Youth Council and Holiday Programmes across the region.
