KEY POINTS:
A depositions hearing in Porirua District Court for a man accused of murdering a Porirua mother has been delayed as the accused seeks a new lawyer.
Quentin Duff, 35, of Whitby, is accused of murdering 33-year-old Bronwyn Aroha Whakaneke on January 8.
Ms Whakaneke was found dead at the Mongrel Mob headquarters on Commerce Crescent in the Porirua suburb of Waitangirua.
A post-mortem showed she died as a result of blows from a blunt instrument.
Today, defence lawyer Val Nisbett advised the court that Duff was seeking new counsel and asked for the case to be adjourned.
Justice of the Peace Ian Symonds remanded Duff in custody until Thursday for a new pre-depositions hearing.
