The New Zealand Defence Force has appointed a new commander of joint forces.
Air Commodore Peter Stockwell will take up the position as head of overseas deployment operations next month, defence chief Lieutenant General Jerry Mateparae said yesterday.
"For his new position, Air Commodore Stockwell will be promoted to Air Vice-Marshal and I am sure he will bring valuable skills and experience to the role."
