The installation of a new moveable barrier on Auckland's Harbour Bridge caused delays to traffic this morning.
New Zealand Transport Agency regional director Wayne McDonald said the 2.2km stretch of barrier took workers the weekend through to 7am this morning to install.
He said there were some delays to early morning commuters but traffic was free-flowing by 9.30.
Mr McDonald said the new barrier can be moved at twice the speed of the old one to change the lane configuration during rush-hour periods.
