The public can vote for the winner of a new prize at the Halberg Awards - New Zealand's favourite "Sporting Moment".

A popularity element has been introduced to the annual sports awards for the first time after a meeting of the Halberg Trust executive board this week gave the go ahead for the initiative, which it believes will stimulate greater public awareness of the trust's work.
