KEY POINTS:
In a bid to drum up excitement over the launch of its new GT-R sports car later this month, Nissan has launched a dedicated webiste.
Along with plenty of amusing 'humble legendary badge' stuff you can trace the GT-R's heritage up to and including the last generation Skyline, which this new car effectively succeeds.
You can also check out pictures of the pre-production prototype GT-R with news, teaser photos and announcements on the real thing expected to be posted too.
The final production model is set to make its debut at the Tokyo motor show later this month and, if you really must, you can download a desktop countdown to the momentous occasion. There are also pictures of a disguised GT-R which made an unannounced run up the hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this year - it was a good Nissan ruse which upset Toyota, who were one of the event's main sponsors.
