Palmerston North Hospital has had another violent incident between staff members, four days after a doctor allegedly stabbed a colleague in the chest during a staff meeting.
MidCentral Health said an "alleged incident" occurred between a male nurse and a male orderly at the hospital on Thursday.
It was believed the nurse punched and kicked the orderly in an unprovoked attack, the Manawatu Standard reported.
A spokesman said the incident was being investigated internally.
On Monday, a 48-year-old doctor allegedly stabbed a 31-year-old colleague at the hospital.
The doctor was charged and appeared in Palmerston North District Court on Wednesday.
