New editor for 'NZ Woman's Weekly'

The New Zealand Woman's Weekly has appointed a new editor, Sido Kitchin, 34, a New Zealand journalist who has been working as the Melbourne publicity manager for the Seven Network since 2001.

Ms Kitchin is a former deputy editor of the magazine.

NZ Magazines acting chief executive Rick Neville said Ms Kitchin would bring enthusiasm and experience to the magazine.

From a solid grounding in newspaper and women's magazine journalism, she had gone on to excel in the fiercely competitive world of Australian television.

Ms Kitchin takes over early next month from Nicky Pellegrino, who is leaving to pursue a writing career.
