A newly minted driver in Australia has been booked for speeding, just 15 minutes after passing her licence test.
The Victorian woman, 40, had just come from VicRoads where she had passed her licence test when police doing routine speed checks caught her enthusiastically putting her pedal to the metal yesterday afternoon.
The woman was allegedly caught doing 62km/h in a 40km/h zone in Hawthorn Road, Vermont South in Melbourne's east.
She received a speeding fine and lost three demerit points.
