The new Martinborough Brewery on Ohio St is taking shape with the roof erected last week.
Co-owners and craft brewers Hayden Frew and Stephen Fox have been busy since the development started in August this year.
Mr Frew said construction was going well but they were working hard to try and open late December or early in the new year.
He said the next step was getting the windows and doors in, and then starting the internal work. There was also a lot of landscaping to be done, he said.
The brewers had been producing small batches at Mr Frew's Martinborough home but now they will be able to produce more beer, in more styles, with a 1200-litre batch system.
