A former drilling rig operator from Featherston is taking over the reins of the Wairarapa outlet for a transtasman hydraulic hoses and fittings firm.
Tim Johnson, who previously operated rigs for Griffiths Drilling in Upper Hutt, has been named the main contact for Wairarapa Diesel Services' RYCO 247 franchise, which has operators in Australia and New Zealand providing a mobile hydraulic hoses and fittings service.
"While we pride ourselves on providing good service, having one dedicated and experienced technician will allow us to offer local businesses an even superior service particularly those in more remote areas," says Brent Ward, owner operator of Wairarapa Diesel Services.
"Supplying hoses and fittings has become a sizeable chunk of our growing business so we are now operating three mobile units and I can only imagine this side of the business will continue to go from strength to strength with Tim on board," Mr Ward said.
Operating throughout New Zealand with branches and mobile services, Mr Ward says RYCO 247 uses a franchise model and is at the cutting edge of technical expertise when it comes to its ability to design, manufacture, test and service high quality hydraulic hoses and fittings.
