KEY POINTS:
A book to be published this week raises questions about police action last October against a suspected terrorist training camp in the Urewera ranges.
The book, Terror in Our Midst, edited by Danny Keenan of Victoria University, contains contributions from academics, historians and activists, many of them from Ngai Tuhoe, Radio New Zealand reported.
Mr Keenan told Waatea News the book arose from discussions at the university's Maori studies department of analyses of the police action by lawyer Moana Jackson.
While the writers could not comment directly on the evidence the police may use against those arrested in the raids, he says they were able to put the incident into historic, social, political and international context.
