BMW has revealed the latest incarnation of its luxury crossover coupe -- the X6 -- that debuts internationally in August before going on sale at the end of the year.
The second-generation luxury car is similar in size to its predecessor at 4909mm long and 1702mm high and will come in three engine variants: two diesels and a petrol.
The new X6 gains bixenon headlights, 19-inch light-alloy wheels, automatic tailgate operation and eight-speed Steptronic sport transmission with steering wheel shift paddles. It also gets leather trim, two-zone climate control, auto-dimming rear-view mirror and the driving assistant safety package from BMW ConnectedDrive.
Locally, BMW New Zealand is celebrating a successful month with 214 sales in May. That sees a 34 per cent increase over May to a year-on-year increase of 15 per cent. That gives BMW the top spot in our premium segment.
