The new Cobblestones Early Settlers Museum entrance building is beginning to take shape.
The first sod was turned last October and now the framework for the building is being put up at the Greytown site.
The Cobblestones Trust is spending almost $1 million to upgrade the museum with an interactive, educational entrance leading to its six Historic Places Trust listed buildings.
The new building will house a number of the museum's vintage horse-drawn vehicles to be kept in a more stable environment and be more accessible to visitors.
Included in the building design is a large specialist collection management workroom with collection storage facilities so the trust can protect, maintain and preserve the museum's heritage collection.
