KEY POINTS:
Only CCS look like this - the long tail and high bootline of this Peugeot 308 mark it out as the new Coupe Cabriolet (CC) version of the French family car.
The 308 CC will introduce some new features for Peugeot CC models.
The most interesting is a warm air heating system built into the front seats. The so-called Airwave system acts like a scarf by diffusing warm air adjustable for temperature, flow and direction around the occupants' shoulders and necks.
A similar system is offered on the Mercedes-Benz SLK roadster.
Other new features include automatic remote-control locking of interior storage compartments (glove box and storage under the central armrest) and LED courtesy lighting in the door mirrors.
The boot has a capacity of 465 litres, or 266 litres when the roof is folded down.
The new 308 CC will be shown for the first time at the Paris Motor Show in September.
Peugeot pioneered the folding hard-top in the mainstream car market when it launched the 206 CC seven years ago. The 307 CC arrived in 2003, followed by the 207 CC.
The maker pioneered the CC concept in a historical sense. It created the now-famous 401, 601 and 402 Eclipse models in the 1930s.
