A Westport coroner has called for an investigation into the way trailers are loaded at a Nelson factory after a driver was killed when his vehicle careered of the road.
David John Anyan, 43, of Stoke, died when his truck and trailer overturned and caught fire last year.
An investigation found speed was the main cause of the accident. However, Coroner Peter Roselli recommended investigation of loading systems after Mr Anyan's partner, Bronwyn Eyles, suggested shifting loads could upset the balance of the trailers.
