Police are investigating links between a crash and a woman who was treated for serious injuries in Nelson Hospital last night.
Jenner Rd in the city remains closed to traffic as police try to piece together what happened.
Police say they were called to a vehicle crash on Jenner Rd at 10.30pm.
A short time later, police were called to Nelson Hospital where a woman was being treated for serious injuries.
Police say they are unsure if the events are connected and have closed Jenner Rd to examine the crash scene.
