Nelson Lakes National Park dairy station for sale

A big farm nestled in the Nelson Lakes National Park near Murchison has been put up for sale for $21 million for the land and buildings.

For $27 million, the new owner can buy Mt Ella Station as an operational dairy farm, complete with 2600 cows.

The 2000ha dairy farm in the Matakitaki Valley is being marketed as a farm and a potential site for a tourism venture.

Real estate agent Rob Wallace said the location and hunting and fishing in the area made it an ideal site for an upmarket tourist lodge.

The Matakitaki River flows through the property.
