KEY POINTS:
The Navy has is looking for a replacement for its 20-year-old tanker and replenishment ship HMNZS Endeavour.
It was built by Hyundai in South Korea for $27 million and commissioned 20 years ago in 1988. But the Navy said it was nearing the end of its expected life of 25 years and a more versatile vessel was needed.
