The jury in the trial of seven men accused over the 2008 fatal shooting of south Auckland liquor store owner Navtej Singh has retired for a third night without reaching any verdicts.
The jury have now spent more than 15 hours deliberating. They began discussions about 2.35pm on Monday after Justice Graham Lang concluded his summary of the case in the month-long trial at the High Court at Auckland.
The jurors were sent home at 4pm today and will resume their deliberations at 9.30am tomorrow.
The trial followed the fatal shooting of Mr Singh during an armed robbery in his Riverton liquor store in Manurewa East in June 2008.
Six people - Anitelea Chan-Kee, Myron Felise, Tino Felise, Eti Filoa, Walter McCarthy and Jason Naseri - are accused of Mr Singh's murder.
A seventh, Mefiposeta Chan-Kee, is charged with being an accessory after the killing.
Tino Felise, Filoa and McCarthy also face charges of aggravated robbery.
Anitelea Chan-Kee, Myron Felise and Naseri have previously admitted charges of aggravated robbery.
Anitelea Chan-Kee has admitted shooting Mr Singh but says that he didn't know that the gun was loaded and accidentally pulled the trigger.
