A business strategist has been named as the National party's new candidate for Wigram.
Ken Varley has been a company director in various sectors for more than 20 years.
He says he's looking forward to the challenge and will be working hard to win the support of the community.
Mr Varley says Canterbury has been well-served by a Government which is making the rebuild a priority, investing in better public services, and building a stronger economy with more jobs.
