The National Party has named Jonathan Fletcher as its Rimutaka candidate for the general election on November 26.
Mr Fletcher has been the business development manager for GE Capital in the Wellington region for the last four years .
He was raised in West Auckland and now lives in Upper Hutt with his wife and three children.
He said the election would be about "giving Rimutaka a strong voice in Government".
"I enter this election contest taking nothing for granted and knowing that I have to earn the respect and trust of an electorate that deserves a strong voice within the National caucus."
