Don Brash has our justice system firmly in his sights.
Police, prisons and victims of crime have been the focus of his leader's address at National's Lower North Island Regional Conference today.
Don Brash says Labour has been slow to appreciate the scale of the P epidemic and in its recognition of the need for more frontline police.
He also accuses the government of being soft on sentencing, saying Corrections Minister Damien O'Connor has thrown open the prison doors.
Dr Brash believes New Zealanders do NOT have the justice system they want.
