KEY POINTS:
An opinion poll out this evening has the National Party still maintaining a healthy lead over the Labour Party, though the gap has narrowed ever so slightly.
National lost one point in the latest Colmar Brunton poll to give it a rating of 51 per cent, 14 per cent ahead of Labour which picked up two points.
The minor parties will take little heart from the poll with none of them cracking the crucial five per cent barrier.
