The National Party is inviting Kiwis to thank John Key for his 10 years leading the party and eight years' service as Prime Minister, by signing an e-card.
Key announced on Monday that he was stepping down from his role as National's leader and from the country's top job. His last day as Prime Minister will be next Monday, December 12.
National has set up a custom-made website where Team Key supporters can sign their name to an e-card to farewell the outgoing Prime Minister.
National Party president Peter Goodfellow said the gesture would "mean a lot to John".
"Serving as Prime Minister and Leader of the National Party is a tough and demanding job, and it's a job that John Key has done with a passion and energy that's helped deliver on our vision for a more ambitious, confident, and prosperous New Zealand."
