National is holding its high poll rating in a survey taken after the increase in GST.
The TV3 poll last night showed National at 53.8 per cent support, down just 0.7 per cent since the last survey.
Labour had made a small gain, up two points to 32.6 per cent.
Prime Minister John Key was up two points to 50.6 per cent in the personal popularity stakes, against 8.8 per cent for Labour leader Phil Goff. Act had slipped to 0.9 per cent.
