KEY POINTS:
Labour has failed to gain any ground against National in the latest 3News-TNS survey.
The poll last night gave Labour 36 per cent support to National's 48 - exactly the same results as TV3's May poll. The TV3 poll - regarded as more favourable to Labour than TVNZ's Colmar-Brunton survey - has not followed the trend of other polls, which have shown Labour clawing some ground back after a chasm of up to 25 points opened between the two parties in May.
In the latest survey, Helen Clark went up a point in the preferred Prime Minister stakes while National Party leader John Key dropped one point, putting the two of them at 31 per cent.
