Judges have been accused of being out of touch with the P epidemic.
National MP John Carter is worried about the two year sentence handed down to a Kaitaia man found guilty of dealing methamphetamine. The Northland MP says the man could have received seven life sentences, but instead he will be out of jail in a couple of months.
He says P is a scourge on society and Parliament has to set tough sentences in order to stamp it out.
Mr Carter says if the Kaitaia man's sentence is an example of how little judges know about the dangers of methamphetamine, it shows they are out of touch with the community's needs
