Six workers had a narrow escape after a floor collapsed at the site of the new Briscoes building in Masterton last night.
Senior Sergeant Warwick Burr, of Masterton police, said police were called to the Dixon St building site just after 6pm.
The workers were pouring concrete over the floor of a dug-out area for an underground car park when the floor collapsed.
