Napier man serious after logging truck rolls

A man has sustained serious injuries after rolling his logging truck north of Napier, closing State Highway 5 this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene, near Ellis Wallace Rd, 25km north of Napier, at 3.52am.

Police said there appeared to be no other vehicles involved in the accident.

The truck was loaded with logs at the time which have come loose and blocked State Highway 5 and a nearby rail line.
