KEY POINTS:
A Napier family whose house has been the target of paint attacks and arson, says aggressive and violent teenage girls are to blame.
On Tuesday night, the Maraenui home was set alight.
The arson comes after street fights and paint attacks on the family home and car, The Dominion Post reported today.
The parents said they believed one or two girls who hated their daughters were to blame.
The couple have sent their three young daughters away for their safety.
They said a group of violent and aggressive girls picked on others on the street.
Their daughters were the subject of rumours and had been bullied and threatened on their Bebo website pages.
The mother said they had encountered moments when "mobs" of young people had come down to their house wanting to "smash up my girls".
She said she had asked Housing New Zealand to be transferred somewhere else, but they only transferred in emergencies.
