KEY POINTS:
Name suppression was lifted today for two people charged after a west Auckland toddler was taken to hospital with serious injuries in June.
The High Court in Auckland declined to continue name suppression for Rosie Felise, 30, and Melagi Vela, 27, from the suburb of Ranui.
The two face charges of wilfully neglecting their 18-month-old son in a manner likely to cause unnecessary suffering.
The child was admitted to hospital with injuries that included a broken thigh bone and a fractured arm.
He has since been discharged from hospital.
Felise and Vela are due to appear at a depositions hearing in Waitakere District Court in December.
A judge in the same court denied a name suppression application last month, but an appeal against that decision was lodged in the High Court.
