Name suppression has lapsed for a Meremere man accused of murder.
Michael Paul Taylor, 49, earlier entered a not guilty plea to a charge of murdering Michael Patrick Robert Bull at a Herewini St, Meremere property on October 13, last year.
Taylor also denies charges of injuring Bull with intent to injure and assaulting him in the months leading up to his death.
Taylor's counsel Rob Weir did not ask for his client's name suppression to continue when he appeared in the High Court at Hamilton this morning.
He was remanded in custody by Justice Timothy Brewer.
